On the last episode of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Monday Night Raw, a tournament for the world heavyweight championship was staged and round 2 of the tourney will continue in this week's episode.
The tournament was put in place after reigning champion Seth Rollins got injured the week before and will miss time, which means he will be unable to defend the title at the Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) this Nov. 22.
To begin the tournament, Roman Reigns and Big Show squared off and in the end, Reigns overcame a massive beating from the world's largest athlete to advance to the next round.
Along with Reigns, winning on Raw and making it to the second round were reigning intercontinental champion Kevin Owens (defeated Titus O'Neil), Dolph Ziggler (defeated The Miz), Cesaro (defeated Mr. Money in the Bank Sheamus), and Dean Ambrose (defeated Tyler Breeze).
The first round continued with three matches on SmackDown with Neville (defeated King Barrett), Kalisto (defeated Ryback), and reigning U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio (defeating Stardust) making it past the stage.
On the upcoming episode of Raw, the second round will take place and on the updated bracket provided by SB Nation, the matches are Reigns versus Cesaro, Del Rio versus Kalisto, Owens versus Neville, and Ziggler versus Ambrose.
The winners will be part of the final four and are closer to main eventing Survivor Series for the championship.
Another interesting storyline is the rivalry between the Wyatt Family and the Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane).
In the last episode, Bray Wyatt, accompanied by the rest of the Wyatt Family, decided to pay tribute to The Undertaker and Kane as if they already passed away and are no longer existing.
But it ended up bad for him as the Brothers of Destruction came to the ring and following a brawl, he was double-chokeslammed.
The feud is interesting since many believe that the Wyatt Family will win over the Brothers of Destruction at Survivor Series for The Undertaker to pass the torch to Bray Wyatt.
