WWE rumors: Luke Harper almost missed the WWE

Luke Harper is someone who rarely speaks in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) scene but given the chance, he does seem like a fine conversationalist. Much of his story was told on the Talk is Jericho podcast.

Harper is, of course, part of Bray Wyatt's clan and has been seen as more of a monster. Together with his two cohorts, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman, they form perhaps one of the darkest yet monstrous factions that the WWE has to date.

Harper came from the NXT ranks and is one of the few WWE stars blessed to have made it to the WWE main roster. But the road toward that almost went up in the air because he missed a very important call from the WWE as he was attending to the birth of his son in January 2011.

At that time, WWE Senior Vice President for Talent Operations Johnny Ace aka John Laurinaitis was trying to get in touch with Harper but, apparently, failed to do so since he was at the hospital.

When he had the time, he had to scamper and ask some WWE regulars for Ace's number and thankfully, he was able to touch base. It turned out they were looking for a tall guy (someone over six-feet) and his stars just shone since there were other wrestlers who vouched for him, including Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, who at that time were known as Tyler Black and Jon Moxley.

Both vouched for Harper to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) trainer Joey Mercury. He then worked his way up until he was eventually placed alongside Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan.

Before getting into the WWE scene, Harper says he was a librarian which seems a bit off from where he is right now. And so far, his fortunes have been somehow glowing as he plays his heel role perfectly with the Wyatts.

There were a lot of revelations from the usually quiet WWE star and those who want to hear more about such can check out the podcast via this link.
