WWE rumors 2015: Seth Rollins will kick Roman Reigns past John Cena era

John Cena is set to return and many feel that it will be the start of the passing of the torch to Roman Reigns.

That could be partly true. While it is no secret that Reigns has been picked as Cena's likely successor, the road toward it is not that easy. In fact, there is a chance that Cena's hand is just part of the big picture.

So if not Cena, who will catapult Reigns to stardom? Seth Rollins.

That may not seem to make a lot of sense, considering Rollins didn't actually evolve into a full-fledged star. But the fact that Reigns never really got to impressively get over "The Architect" comes into play.

One just has to look back in 2015 to figure out what all that means. The two did have their battles, but everyone knows that "The Authority" did its part in making sure that Rollins remained champion.

Rollins disappeared from the picture after suffering a knee injury during a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) live event, so technically he never lost the belt. Reigns won it via that WWE Heavyweight tournament, so it kind of becomes a bit half-baked.

Hence, if Rollins does come back, expect him to take aim at Reigns immediately. If he recovers well, Rollins could be back by the middle of 2016. It remains to be seen how the WWE will play it, but such is seen as Reigns' completion as the new face of the WWE.

Somehow, one gets the feeling that it will be the hard route that Reigns endured this year. But with the WWE fans now on the back of Reigns, such changes the whole scenario between "The Big Dog" and "The Architect."

Reigns is likely to work more on his character overall, both in the ring and the charisma with the fans. And hopefully, once Rollins re-appears, all that will pay off.
