This year's version of the MacBook Pro's release date will come soon as the previous models receive discounts.

MacMall extended its Labor Day specials and the discounted devices were still available on the web site of the retailer. The 13.3 inch variant of the MacBook Pro Retina with dual-core Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, with 4 GB RAM, and 500 GB of internal storage now costs $1,044 from its original price of $1,199. This saves the consumers a whopping $155.

The same MacBook Pro with a 13.3 inch screen display, a dual-core Intel Core i7 processor, a 2.9 GHz clock speed, an 8 GB RM, and a 1TB hard drive is available for $1,369.99 from its original price of $1,399.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina that comes with the Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, a 16 GB RAM, and 512 GB storage costs $1,899 from its original price tag of $2,249. This saves the buyer $350, which is the biggest discount given to the tablet. The slightly lower model of the 15-inch variant with quad-core Intel Core i7, an 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB is being offered for $299 discount cutting the price to $1,999.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2014 is rumored to pack a touchscreen feature. Moreover, the laptop is also purported to pack a better battery. Aside from a touchscreen feature and longer battery life, Apple is also expected to include the new 14-nanometer Broadwell chips from Intel on the two laptops.

Earlier this year, Apple recently unveiled the refreshed models of MacBook Pro with Retina display that ship with a slightly upgraded version of Intel Haswell processors.

The refreshed MacBook Pro was speculated to be released later this year and the device will arrive before the holidays. However, other reports claimed that the Apple laptop will be released in early 2015 in order to give the device its appropriate attention. Moreover, the delay is supposed to be due to the release of Intel's new Broadwell chips. According to reports, the first batch of the Core "M" chips will be shipped by the end of this year.
