Ming-Na Wen, who plays the role of Melinda May in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," seems to have slipped "Marvel's Inhumans'" future at the recent Heroes and Villains Fan Fest San Jose. The 54-year-old star also teased the two shows' possible crossover.

At the fest, a fan asked the "Stargate Universe" star if there will be a crossover happening between "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Marvel's Inhumans." "I think that show got-," she said. Before she let the word slip completely, she then cut her sentence and laughed. "Maybe I can't multitask," she added.

According to reports, Wen was about to say "canceled," but she stopped herself as the "Marvel's Inhumans" season 2's future is not yet revealed. The series is said to be a failure on IMAX screens. Also, it has received a number of average reviews from fans and critics alike.

Hence, there might be a big possibility that "Marvel's Inhumans" will never be renewed for a second season. However, if ABC gives the show the greenlight, it is likely that it will have a crossover with "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Both of the series air on ABC, and Phil Coulson's team is now digging the cosmic world of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The Kree has genetically engineered the Inhumans, making them exist in real life. This creature is the major force that binds the remaining people living in Earth's dark future that connects "Marvel's Inhumans" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

In fact, in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 episode 3, titled "A Life Spent," it revealed that Inhumans still live in that dark era. On the other hand, the crossover might also be unlikely to happen.

The idea about Inhumans was introduced to the MCU via "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." In fact, "Marvel's Inhumans" cited it in when Black Bolt (Anson Mount) sent Triton (Mike Moh) on a mission to bring Inhumans to the hidden city of Attilan on the moon from Earth. As "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 takes place 100 years into the future, the making of the crossover might be complicated.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 airs every Friday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
