With most US carriers having already rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, T-Mobile becomes the latest carrier to release the latest Android OS for Galaxy Note 4 owners.

It was only a matter of time before T-Mobile US would follow suit. AT&T, Sprint and Verizon had already released the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS so hearing about T-Mobile doing the same is certainly welcome news.

Testing has apparently been concluded successfully, signaling its rollout to Magenta subscribers.

This was further made official when T-Mobile US senior product Manager Des Smith confirmed the carrier had already received technical acceptance for the Note 4.

With that said, T-Mobile subscribers who have the Galaxy Note 4 may want to occasionally check their software update notification since the OTA may already be available.

Various users have reportedly been getting an update notification regarding the availability already so T-Mobile subscribers who have the Galaxy Note 4 may want to check their device frequently.

On what to expect, Android 5.0 Lollipop brings a lot of new features and interface improvements for Galaxy Note 4 owners.

The new features includes an enhanced notification system (displays pending notifications on the locked screen) and a heads up notification which appear as banners at the top of the phablet display.

Aside from that, Android 5.0 Lollipop stands to provide improvement on the performance of the Galaxy Note 4's battery life as well. This of course is still up for debate considering there have been reports that some mobile users have ended up with poor battery life after applying the said update.

Just the same, T-Mobile users can look forward to some fixes and improvements. Before updating, make sure that you have a properly charged device and of course a stable connection when downloading the update.
