Verizon is now rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The update eliminates the infamous StageFright bug, which has reportedly been plaguing many Android devices, making Samsung one of the not too many tech firms to acknowledge the security vulnerability. 

The StageFright bug gives attackers remote access to the flagships' data files via an MMS video message, allowing them to steal these files without the users even knowing it.The Lollipop update is expected to patch up the vulnerability and it's now on the way to the said handsets. 

Apart from this much-needed fix, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop also boasts a lot of features, one of which is the Caller User ID, which is very useful to those who have Advanced Calling enabled. With it, users will be able to identify unknown callers and screen them, add new ones and add the PictureME feature. 

With the software, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users will be able to turn off the parallax "wallpaper motion effect" while giving them tons more Live Wallpaper options for the lockscreen wallpaper of their smartphone. 

Lastly, there's a feature that facilitates adjusting the Exposure value from within the camera viewfinder, which users with the knack for taking pictures will find very helpful. 

Meanwhile, the same Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is also coming to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The tablet, for the first time, will be dressed in the Lollipop's signature Material Design complete with vivid animations and colorful effects. It also comes with a reactivation lock, making it hard for thieves to get access to the device without the owner. Furthermore, lockscreen notifications and "Recent Apps" are added to the device as well as Floating Action buttons. 

Verizon is releasing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop simultaneously to the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Tab 4 10.1. This means that it may not instantly pop up on the devices. Users can always manually check its availability on their device's settings.
