With word that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now currently being rolled out for Nexus devices, the highlight of it all is that pitch of a revamped list of emojis.

That and the usual security updates were packed in the latest Android 6.0.1 M update which carries a build version of MMB29K for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6 (2014), Nexus 5 (2013), Nexus 7 (2013), and Nexus 9 (2014).

For those who have that set-top box Nexus Player, there is also an update with build number MMB29M being released so it may be best to keep an eye out for that as well.

So what else is there to expect from the Android 6.0.1 M? Well it seems that the update will bring something new to the Nexus 5, 6, 7, and 9 models with the Camera quick launch which the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P carried per Android Police.

The double-tap power camera launch shortcut should be an interesting new feature for the ones who have the older models as it would allow them to jump straight into the camera at any time they please.

There is some cause for concern for it though, and this has something to do with its integration with the power button. Apparently, issues like the phone going to sleep or the lock/unlock could be a problem. Hence it may all boil down to a problem in the area of the gesture feature.

Other than that, the update also includes the "Do Not Disturb" feature, bug fixes, and support for LTE Band 12 (but for T-Mobile only).

On screen, there are also some changes when it comes to navigation. The buttons are no longer centered with the back and home buttons now located at the left while the overview/recent apps button at the right-most portion.
