Android 6.0 M update for LG news: When will flagship phones LG G4 and G3 get the latest OS?

The question in the minds of many Android phone owners is when they may possibly get the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

For now, only the Google Nexus devices have enjoyed what the latest Android iteration has to offer. Other manufacturers are expected to follow soon, with the newest devices likely to get the update first.

While there is no word which brand would be starting to roll out Android 6.0 M to its consumer base, one brand that could be getting it soon may be the LG flagship phones — LG G4 and LG G3.

A report from GforGames somehow hints that with the company updating the support documents via its Korean website could indicate that LG could be on the verge of rolling out the much awaited Android 6.0 M operating system (OS).

However, a report from Venture Capital Post alleges that the Android update should have been out by now, seeing how the company promised that they would be the first to offer Android 6.0 M to their customers.

With that said, the best bet is to see the Android 6.0 M out by early 2016, unless, of course, something happens from now to December.

LG does have a history of trying to offer its users the latest Android OS in the past (like the Android 5.0) so such provides a ray of hope for an immediate release.

Curiously, it does seem a bit odd that LG has not released Android Lollipop 5.1.1 to date. The last of the Android Lollipop OS series has been released while awaiting the Android 6.0 M, so it does seem strange not to see the latest OS out for LG, unless it is being done on purpose since all eyes are on the Android 6.0.

Regardless, the more important matter is perhaps to hear when the official date of the roll out will commence.

Other brands like HTC and Motorola have also made announcements concerning the Android 6.0 M bump but have not indicated a release date.
