The world is still kept in the dark about Apple Inc.'s first wearable device called Apple Watch even after it was unveiled last September, but Apple CEO Tim Cook finally shared a new detail about the upcoming smartwatch from his company.

During his talk at the WSJD Live event on Oct. 27, Cook finally talked about Apple's first venture into the wearable device market.

The Apple executive pointed out that with the unveiling of the Apple Watch, the company did not just announce a product line, they also announced three collections of products that focus on health, fitness, as well as fashion.

"We saw that something you wear has to be more personable, more customizable... the fashion thing is totally new for us," he stated.

On the technical side of the wearable device, Cook only mentioned that the Apple Watch needs to be charged every day. This may turn off possible buyers of the product, but he reminded everyone that the device will be used a lot that is why it needs to be recharged constantly.

Meanwhile, gadget watchers are speculating how well the Apple Watch will fare in the market once it is released.

The wearable device from the Cupertino tech giant is not a breakthrough in the market, since Android wearables have already dominated it for a while already. But could the Apple Watch end the reign of the other wearable devices that are already out in stores?

Daniel Matte from Canalys described the product thus: "The sleek software, variety of designs and reasonable entry price make for a compelling new product. Apple must still prove, however, that the final product will deliver adequate battery life for consumers."

Will that be enough for the public to choose this against the other wearables?

With the price of at least $349, which is significantly $100 more expensive compared to the other wearables out there, it would be hard to determine whether the Apple Watch will do well against its competitors once it is released in the first quarter of 2015.
