March 21 drew to a close with the Infinite Loop event, a much-anticipated launch among Apple fans. The event showcased a new iPhone, iPad Pro, as well as updates to the Apple Watch.

The Cupertino-based company posted a video of the 63-minute event on the company website. The video footage highlights new products and services like the new ResearchKit and Liam, a robot that breaks down and recycles Apple products and reuse some of the hardware components and raw materials.

One of the highlights of the March 21 event was the unveiling of the much-awaited 4-inch iPhone SE. Previous speculations suggested that Apple would be branding the new iPhone as an enhanced but budget-friendly version of the iPhone 5. However, with the launch, Apple confirmed that the new iPhone is just a smaller version of the iPhone 6s.

The new iPhone SE has the same A9 chip from the current-gen iteration, and may even possibly feature at least 2 GB of RAM (Apple is known to keep its mobile devices' RAM capacities a secret). The new 4-inch iPhone also features the same camera setup as the current-gen flagship. This means that the new iPhone SE has the 12MP iSight camera as its main shooter.

Another much-awaited product at the Infinite Loop event was the smaller iPad Pro. While previous rumors said that the new iPad will just be a "Mini" version of the original 12.9-inch hybrid, Apple opted for improved features on the new 9.7-inch tablet.

Aside from featuring the professional-level features of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the smaller iteration adds new specs to its arsenal, including switching to a True Tone display, as well as integrating better cameras. The camera assembly for the is the 12MP setup also found on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus flagships.

Both the iPhone SE and the new iPad Pro will start going on pre-order on March 24 and will ship out at the end of the month in selected markets.
