This week's episode of "Arrow" season 4 will introduce three new faces. First is Jeri Ryan, who will play the role of Jessica Danforth, a political aspirant and an old family friend to the Queen family.

In this episode aptly titled "The Candidate," she will approach Oliver and Thea for her bid to be the mayor of Star City. Naturally, the siblings become filled with worry as the three recent mayors of the city were all killed and they don't want her to suffer the same fate.

But the desire to serve reigns in the heart of the hopeful and so she continues her plan notwithstanding Oliver and Thea's warning. The siblings are left with no choice but to protect her instead.

The second new face to acquaint with is Curtis Holt, who will be played by Echo Kellum. In the upcoming "Arrow" season 4 episode, he will be introduced as one of Felicity's trusty employees, who she will turn to for help as she goes about a vital business decision-making.

As teased before, Curtis Holt will be one of the tech expert's closest allies this season and will suit up in the future as Mr. Terrific.

"He really is a way for us to eventually bring on a new member of the team," showrunner Wendy Mericle said of the new character in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "And somebody who has a strong tech background, but he's also somebody for Felicity to talk to and have scenes with," she continued.

Meanwhile, a trailer for the next "Arrow" season 4 installment also gives a glimpse of Anarky, who may have something to do with the trouble Danforth could be facing in the episode. He will be seen being ordered by Damien Darkh to clean up the mess he did.

Anarky seems to be the one that will get the team busy in this episode and the one that will force Detective Lance to get help from Oliver and his team again.

"Arrow" season 4 episode 2 "The Candidate" airs Oct. 14.
