"Assassin's Creed: Origins" is now ready for its third big expansion, as the "Curse of the Pharaohs" downloadable content (DLC) has been announced and previewed with included gameplay details that are sure to bring back players from slumber.

Developer and publisher Ubisoft has recently announced a slew of new updates and contents for "Assassin's Creed: Origins," most of which include the long-awaited New Game+ mode but what really takes the cake is the latest DLC "Curse of the Pharaohs." The new content is set to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and the PC on March 6.

Players who own the DLC season pass for "Assassin's Creed: Origins" will be able to get the game for free, otherwise, it will have to be a separate purchase for $20. One thing to note is that before like the previous DLC, "The Hidden Ones," "Curse of the Pharaohs" will most likely include a high-level requirement for it to be available, so players be advised since they will have to play through the main story of the game at least once in order to attain the level requirement.

There will also be an introductory free quest to be added on Feb. 27 named "Lights Among the Dunes," which will act as a prologue or prelude to the upcoming DLC. It is best that players try out the free quest in order to make "Curse of the Pharaohs" easier to digest.

As the name of the DLC implies, players will have to deal with some of the oldest and most powerful Egyptian Pharaohs, who apparently have been rising from the dead from their mummified state. It is up to the players to stop them and find out why they are being resurrected. Apart from the new bosses and human enemies, there will also be new beasts in-game, as well as new outfits, weapons, and of course a new storyline to keep the players hooked. The DLC will also increase the game's level cap to 55.

All this will be available on the aforementioned release date of "Curse of the Pharaohs" on March 6.
