Ubisoft shows its love for Square Enix, as the developers have placed a crossover camel skin from the "Final Fantasy" franchise into "Assassin's Creed: Origins."

The newest update for "Assassin's Creed: Origins" introduces a list of "Final Fantasy"-themed items, most notably the Chocobo camel skin replacement. The items can be acquired as rewards from the new quest, "A Gift from the Gods," and includes a set of Legendary weapons from Square Enix's role-playing game (RPG), including the Legendary shield Ziedrich and the Legendary sword Ultima Blade.

The Chocobo skin, however, comes in the form of a mount called Kweh, which is essentially a camel with a beak and feathers on its hind and head. Players will immediately be able to ride the new mount once they have finished the said quest. Regarding gameplay, the developers did not mention if the Kweh offered any stat difference compared to the regular camels of the game. It is most likely that the mount's uniqueness is only cosmetic.

It is worth noting that the crossover items are also free and will cost players no real-world money. These crossover and item references to "Final Fantasy" dated back as early as August with the start of the Assassin Festival. This occurred in one of Square Enix's "Final Fantasy" games where an in-game event pertaining to "Assassin's Creed: Origins" was made available to the player. Since then, it has been a trend for the two developers to reference each other's games.

Apart from the new "Final Fantasy" collaboration, "Assassin's Creed: Origins" also has a new challenge for end-game players. High-level Assassin's will be able to undertake a trial involving the Egyptian Gods Anubis, Sobek, and Sekhmet. The said challenge, named "Trial of the Gods," runs until Dec. 26 and will let players duke it out with all three Gods. For the said challenge, Anubis can be found in The Great Sand Sea, Sobek in Herakleion Nome, and Sekhmet in The Desheret Desert.

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" and its new quest and challenges are available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
