The Atlanta Falcons handed the Carolina Panthers their first defeat of the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season and Falcons linebacker O'Brien Schofield had some words for the sportsmanship of their opponents Sunday. 

"If you handle yourself with class, you don't have to worry about that," Schofield said after the game, according to ESPN. 

"But you see, they didn't handle themselves with class the first time we played [when Carolina won 38–0]. So I didn't care about how they were feeling after this game. I was 'dabbing' all in their faces," he added. 

Schofield also narrated how the Panthers took a team picture and uploaded it on social media during their first meeting, with Panthers franchise quarterback Cam Newton celebrating on the sidelines. 

But after their recent game Schofield added, "There wasn't none of that today. We played a football game today."

The 28-year-old linebacker also said it feels "glorious" to get payback over someone who disrespected you and cannot handle it. 

Atlanta's victory improved its record to 8–7, second in the National Football Conference (NFC) South, just behind the Panthers whose perfect season ended with a 14–1 record after Sunday's game. 

ESPN added in its report that everyone from the Falcons side, including team owner Arthur Blank, did Newton's celebratory trademark dance the dab, to mock him after the win. 

The Falcons' remaining game in their regular season schedule is another NFC South matchup versus the New Orleans Saints, who are at the bottom of the division tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 6–9 record. 

Meanwhile the Panthers, who already clinched the NFC South but not home field advantage in the playoffs, will close their regular season versus the Bucs as they try to finish with a 15–1 record.  

Both of the Falcons and Panthers' last games of the 2015 regular season will be home stands.
