The Atlanta Falcons will go on the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in Week 13 of the NFL 2015 regular season. Today's game is an all NFC South affair, and with the Carolina Panthers still perfect on 11-0 at the top, the Falcons and Buccaneers are fighting it out for one of of the Wild Card berths on line.

At the moment the Falcons have the advantage, and come into today's game on 6-5, but all that could change today if the 5-6 Buccaneers can claim the win. That result would leave both teams stranded on 6-6 and with a lot of work to do in the final weeks to get as far above .500 as possible to give themselves the best opportunity to sneaking one of the Playoff spots available.

Just a month ago the Falcons looked a certainty for the postseason, but what a difference a month can make. They come into today's game on the back of four straight losses and it's amazing that a team that started the season 5-0 is now looking decidedly wobbly for the postseason.

At the moment the team is sticking by Matt Ryan, but by his own admission a lot of the problems over the past month have been by his hand. Ryan has thrown five interceptions in his last two games, and their downturn in form has seen them score an average of just 16.3 points per game over the past six games. In comparison their first five games of the season yielded them an average of 32.4 points per game.

Coach Dan Quinn is not looking to scapegoat Ryan though and he has said, "He's absolutely the competitor I want. He's what we look for and our team looks for the whole way."

Whether Ryan can help the Falcons rise back out of their recent slump remains to be seen, but what's sure, if they lose again today then nerves will be tested that much more as the Falcons slip back to .500.

Earlier this week, NFL Thursday Night Football saw the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions, and although it looked like the Lions had the game in the bag, a spectacular comeback in the second half by the Packers saw them take the spoils to move to 8-4.

Green Bay went in at the half way point without a point on the board and were behind by 17. But whatever they drank at halftime seemed to do the trick, as they came back out and piled on the points winning the third quarter 14-3 to pull the score back to 14-20. They then completed their comeback in the final quarter, scoring another 13 points with the Lions offense shut down and only able to score another three to leave the final score at 27-23.

The game winning play came in dramatic style, with Aaron Rodgers throwing a 61 yard touchdown to Richard Rodgers with no time left on the clock.

The result will be a relief for the Packers, who had lost four of their last five, and will be setback for the Lions, who had won three straight games coming into the game. They will be hugely disappointed to have missed out on the chance to sweep the series for the first time since 1991.

Anytime a team loses a 20 point lead it is a huge blow, but the nature of the loss and the opposition will make the defeat that much worse for Detroit.

The Packers left it late to make their charge, only scoring their first points with just 5.44 on the clock in the third quarter. But once they got into their rhythm there was no stopping them.

On the final play, the only reason the Packers had their final chance was because Devin Taylor grabbed Aaron Rodgers facemark. If he had not done that then the game would have been over, but because of that foul, Green Bay were given another chance, and Aaron Rodgers didn't need to be told twice. He launched a massive 61 yard Hail Mary pass, which came off to leave the Detroit fans stunned and the Packers fans in ecstasy.

Rodgers admitted after the game: "I've never had a completed Hail Mary before."

Rodgers finished the game with 26 of 36 for 289 yards and two touchdowns, compared to Matthew Stafford's 23 of 35 for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
