While W.I.T. Studios remains secretive regarding its plans for "Attack on Titan" season 2, speculations claim that the animated series will deviate from its original manga.

According to a speculation from iTechPost, the second installment of the anime will modify the story from its source by featuring bigger enemies that will send further terror among humanity.

The report claimed that a gigantic Titan will invade the city. Compared to the titans who wreaked havoc in the past, the new Titan will possess a high level of intelligence that resembles human intelligence. It also comes with a shapeshifting talent. This will make it more dangerous compared to all the giant enemies of the city.

There are also speculations claiming that Krista's real identity will be unveiled in "Attack on Titan" season 2. She was unveiled to be the illegitimate child of Rod Reiss during the first season, and her real name is Historia Reiss. But it was still unclear if she will stay as a member of the Scouting Legion or embrace her role as the heir of the Reiss family.

Another speculation revealed that aside from fighting the titans, the series will also deal with the fight happening between the most influential families within the Wall Sheena. According to reports, the Reiss family may have been hiding the secrets about the existence of the titans.

However, the studio has yet to confirm if the rumored plot turns out to be true.

While details are scarce about the plot of "Attack on Titan" season 2, a new video game was teased by Koei Tecmo during the Gamescom.

Based on the trailer, a 50-foot Armored Titan described as a "gigantic ape-like creature" and a new one called the Beast Titan will be featured in the game. The new game will be released of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Aug. 30. It will also be physically released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam.
