There is probably no other anime series out there that is more talked about than "Attack on Titan," and since it is due for a second season, the number of rumors and speculations about it is increasing day by day. Considering that "Attack on Titan" season 2 is most likely going to be released early next year, fans can't help but wonder if there is really focus from the producers and writers to solve the mysteries left behind in the first season.

At this point, there is very little doubt that the first couple of episodes will be about Eren Yeager's journey in figuring out the secret his father has long kept in their basement. According to Geek.com, there will be documents that will reveal things about Eren's past as well as his ties to the Titans and that all of it will be showcased in the first few episodes.

Aside from what could be revealed about Eren and his family, another prospective revelation in the basement is the answer to how the Titans can effectively and successfully be defeated. Yibada reports that there will be some more clarity with regard to the experimental component of the existence of Titans. Simply put, Eren and the Survey Corps will eventually find new information, thus giving them the best opportunity yet to finally put an end to the giant humanoid creatures' havoc on the planet.

Meanwhile, fans are beginning to feel disappointed with the lack of an immediate follow-up to the first season of "Attack on Titan." One report attributed the delays to the lack of new content from the original manga series. So does this mean there will come a time when the anime adaptation will proceed on its own without having to wait for the manga to make progress?
