Season 3 of the widely popular Japanese anime show, "Attack on Titan," has already been given a release date which is in summer of 2018. This is news that is sure to excite fans everywhere, especially since they had to wait almost three full years before season 2 was aired. It would appear that the third season will take the developers less than a year to come up with.

In a video by Foxen Anime, fans had previously thought that the third season will arrive on spring of 2018, as announced during the Anime Expo at the Convention Center in Los Angeles back in July. However, there seems to have been a mix up regarding the release date.

Either way, it is now definite that the third season of "Attack on Titan" will be released sometime in July, which is still a much shorter wait compared to season 2. In a report by Polygon, a promotional video of the anime was released, confirming the release date. However, it did not really show any new footage from season 3, which is probably disappointing for some fans.

Despite the lack of new material, the show's creators were kind enough to give the fans a glimpse of a poster which depicts a naked Eren Yeager tied on top of a column of a crystal cave. The poster does not give much information regarding the plot of the next season, and is something that has caused quite a bit of speculation among audiences and fans. Inverse speculates that the chances of the anime getting delayed are close to none.

In a report by Techno Chops, fans can expect the third season to cover the "Uprising Arc," which is something that fans of the manga should be familiar with. However, given the reputation of the show, many changes could occur in the story to fit the tight schedule of Wit Studios. It would appear that they are experiencing some man-power issues due to "overproduction" of other anime shows.
