"Attack on Titan" will be giving more Titan action in its third season. The third season of the award-winning anime series will reportedly feature more episodes, though official details are still scant at this time.

It can be remembered that fans of "Attack on Titan" were left wanting more when they learned that the second season of the show would only contain 12 episodes. The fans felt shortchanged after waiting four years for the second season. Aside from that, the fans were expecting to have more than 12 episodes since the first season premiered with 24 episodes. Naturally, after learning this, the fans were a bit miffed.

Sources claimed that the reason for the limited episode count of the second season was that "Attack on Titan" was testing to see if the anime series still held its popularity with its fan base. Being on break for four years, the production team wasn't sure if they would still get the warm welcome from their fans.

Season 2, given its limited episodes, was still watched by a lot of people, proving that it "Attack on Titan" had a fan base waiting for it to come back on the air.

With their test proving to be a success, rumors are now swirling that the third season of "Attack on Titan" will have more episodes. Moreover, according to reports, the anime will delve into the "Uprising" arc and the series will flesh out the storylines to make it longer when it comes back next year.

However, it's still not clear if the third season of "Attack on Titan" will adapt the "Uprising" arc since there are no concrete details as of yet. But the "Uprising" arc is the logical choice for adaptation since it directly follows the story arc of season 2.

For those that haven't read the manga, the "Uprising" arc will reveal Krista's true lineage as the rightful heir to the throne. It will also focus on Captain Erwin Smith as he ignites a revolution to overthrow the current government to make way for Krista as its new leader.
