Star-Studded Audio Bible Nominated for Civil Rights Award

A new audio bible featuring a star-studded cast from voices of over 200 actors including Samuel L. Jackson (God), Angela Bassett (Esther), Denzel Washington (Solomon), Cuba Gooding Jr. (Judas) has been nominated for an NAACP award, a civil rights award in the United States of America.

|QUOTE|A 21-hour production, available for $49.99, "Bible Experience" is one of the fastest selling audio bibles ever stocked, with 70,000 shipped since its launch late last year.

It follows a wave of new audio bible releases, including, the "Talking Bible", thousands of which have been sent to Africa, and a recent "GoBible", emulating the recent successes of Apple's iPod with a new device that can search through over 70 hours of bible audio on a single pre-loaded chip.

The "Bible Experience", unique in its star-studded production, is available in New Testament, with a much longer Old Testament version due in fall 2007.

It has already overtaken Zondervan's longtime best-selling audio bible, the "New International Version Audio Bible" which sells at about 60,000 units per year, and is available on mp3 and CD.

Alternatively, the "GoBible" selling with accessory speakers for listening in group settings and FM transmitter for listening in the car, can be bought for about twice the price, starting at $99.95, with the accessories available at $14.95/$19.95 respectively.
