Avalon and World Vision help 2,000 Children gain Sponsorship

It was announced that Avalon (Sparrow Records), in partnership with World Vision and their successful spring tour last month, has helped to bring in over two thousand sponsorships for children worldwide.

Ever since 1993, World Vision has been actively partnering with major label Christian recording artists with their Artist Associate program and helped over 500,000 children in nearly 100 countries by finding sponsors. The ongoing partnerships has been able to increase awareness of organization issues.

"We are so appreciative of Avalon's continued support of World Vision," remarked Kris Thompson, senior director of World Vision's Artist Associates program. "In their eight years as a World Vision Artist Associate, they have done so much to encourage their fans to embrace the mission of this organization. Through Avalon's efforts, over 12,000 children have found World Vision sponsors."

"For me, child sponsorship is truly an amazing thing. Not only does it change the life of a child forever, but it also teaches us to appreciate every bit of what God has blessed us with," Jody McBrayer comments on behalf of Avalon. "I am honored to be a small part of helping children all over the world, and extremely thankful to World Vision for helping me to learn so much about my Lord and myself in the process. World Vision is not only a gift to the children they help, but to us all."
