This week on "The Bachelorette," many tears were shed as Kaitlyn continued to feel guilty over liking some of her suitors more than the others, and two of the guys cried when they were eliminated from the competition.

The episode opened with Shawn asking Kaitlyn if she's in love with him. She said that she is, but later, she opened up to the camera that Shawn might know about what happened between Nick and her. She said that she didn't want to hurt him or anybody.

Later, Kaitlyn went on a two on one date with Joe and JJ. The three of them rode a boat and spent some time at the beach, and Joe was the first to get some alone time with Kaitlyn. Joe told her that he's never felt this way about anyone and that he's falling in love with her.

When it was JJ's turn, he decided to come clean and told Kaitlyn that three years ago, he cheated on his wife and that it was the biggest mistake of his life.

"I lost everything. I lost my wife … Everything I had worked hard for was gone with one bad, terrible decision," he said.

In the end, Kaitlyn gave a rose to Joe and decided that JJ had to go. As she started crying, JJ told her that he had no regrets and that he appreciated the opportunity.

Meanwhile, Shawn was still upset over what he thought were mixed messages coming from Kaitlyn. Once she and Joe came back from the group date, Shawn headed to her room to talk to her again. She told him that although it was uncomfortable for all of them, "this is for the rest of our lives." For his part, Shawn said that he'd try to be "better at this whole thing."

At the rose ceremony, Kaitlyn sent Tanner and Ben Z. home. But after her date with Jared, Chris Harrison dropped by her room to tell her that he thought she wasn't ready for hometown dates. He told Kaitlyn that she had to narrow it down to three suitors this week.

During a one-on-one with Chris, Kaitlyn told him that he wouldn't be getting a rose. She told him that her heart was elsewhere at the moment. Chris told the camera that he thought Kaitlyn doesn't know what she wants.

"She deserves a lifetime of happiness and I'm not sure she's ready to find that yet," he said before dropping into a couch and sobbing.

Next week, Kaitlyn goes on three overnight dates, and she will also go on a group date with three of her suitors at Killarney National Park. One of the guys will also get eliminated.

"The Bachelorette" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
