Barcelona vs Roma live stream: Watch Champions League football online (Preview)

Barcelona will play Roma on Tuesday night in a big Champions League game as Barca look to confirm top spot in Group E, which would give them a potentially easier route through the knock out rounds of Europe's top football competition this season. The game has scheduled start time of 2.45 p.m. ET (7.45 p.m. GMT) and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

A lot of the talk ahead of the game is whether Lionel Messi will make the starting line up today. The game is not essential for Barcelona to win and boss Luis Enrique could opt to give Messi more time to rest and recover from his recent injury woes.

Messi recently returned from two months out with a knee injury, and came on as a substitute in Barca's 4-0 demolition of arch rivals Real Madrid at the weekend.

Enrique has said, "He seemed in very good shape to me. All that is needed now is to charge his batteries."

The Spanish giants come into today's game five points clear at the top of the group, and need just a draw to qualify for the last 16.

Meanwhile, Roma will be looking to pull off a surprise win, because if they do they will be confirmed a spot in the next round as Bayer Leverkusen failed to defeat BATE in this group's other game which took place earlier in the day. That match ended 1-1 and now means Roma can guarantee themselves a spot in the knock out rounds with three points today.

In team news, Barcelona could be without defender Javier Mascherano, who suffered a thigh injury in the first half of El Clasico in La Liga.

Enrique has said, "He was not able to train today and the logical thing is that he won't feature tomorrow because he is a key player for us and we don't want to take any risks."
