'Batman: Arkham Knight' Limited Edition release date pushed back

The fourth and last installment in the "Batman Arkham" series was recently launched. However, it seems that not all has been great during the title's release.

Usually, big-name titles offer a special version alongside the standard one, packed with merchandise aimed at the more hardcore fans and item collectors of the series. For "Batman: Arkham Knight," the Limited Edition title includes a copy of the game together with a steelbook case, an artbook, a comic book, a character skin pack, and a statue.

However, reports surfaced that the Limited Edition version for "Batman: Arkham Knight" has been delayed across a number of game retailers. Those who wished to purchase the special version of the recently-launched title found out that the Limited Edition has already been listed as unavailable on retail site Amazon. Accordingly, other retailers around the world also displayed that there will be delays in the delivery of the bundle.

Instead of gamers picking up their Limited Edition copies, retailers will instead send codes for the digital downloads of the game first, with the items included in the Limited Edition to be shipped out at a later date. On the official "Batman: Arkham Knight" forum, some players posted that they were told the items will be released on July 14.

Similarly, the Batmobile Edition of the game was also hit, although the version was outright cancelled. For this issue, developer Rocksteady has provided a statement.

In its official forum, the developer said, "We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector's Edition of 'Batman: Arkham Knight' due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product."

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is already out and available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
