Ben Affleck is currently working on a solo "Batman" film, although Warner Bros. Pictures have yet to announce the final release date for the movie. However, the executives have recently hinted that the movie may be in production soon and could launch as early as 2019.

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes recently spoke on the SuicideSquadcast (via /Film) and gave a very vague hint on when fans can expect Affleck's take on the Batman. Affleck will write, act, and direct the film, and it is highly expected to be one of the best DCEU films, given how Affleck has directed the Academy Award-winning films "Argo," "The Town," and "Good Will Hunting."

"Ben announced a Batman movie that he's going to direct, star, write for - I think it's a year and a half out," he stated.

As stated in a report from Coming Soon it is unclear if Bewkes meant that the film is 18 months away from release or 18 months from production. The report points out that it is more likely to be the latter given that 18 months from the time of writing would lead to March 2018 release of "The Flash."

There are two unnamed DC films listed, and one will launch in October 2018 while the second is scheduled to launch in November 2019. Given that these films are likely to take more than a year in production and then months in post-production, it is widely speculated that the solo "Batman" movie will be given the 2019 slot.

Development and pre-production are already underway for the film, given that Affleck has openly stated he is working on the script and ensuring that it meets his high standards. Joe Manganiello has also been cast as Deathstroke, indicating that the studios are indeed aiming to release the film before 2020.

Warner Bros. Pictures have yet to confirm or deny any of the release rumors for the solo "Batman" film.
