'Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice' plot rumors: Henry Cavill reveals why Caped Crusader battles Man of Steel

Copious amount of spoilers about the highly anticipated DC Comics superhero film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" continue to deluge with hints explaining on what caused the supercharged feud in the first place.

During an interview with Total Film (via Variety), Henry Cavill aka the Man of Steel revealed why the Caped Crusader is going after the Kryptonian. "What happens there is one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and he's trying to save all the people inside the building and he can't," the actor shared.

"So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?" the actor further explained as to what his enemy's motivation is in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Fans will remember that in the trailer for the movie, Bruce Wayne watched one of his buildings reduced to rubbles in the midst of Superman's fit. Bruce attempted to help but he was unable to and this angered him. This scene, as Cavill hinted, will serve as the movie's "prologue."

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck, who plays Batman in the movie, revealed that his "tremendous rage for Superman" will lead him to wage war against him and in turn, will have his butler Alfred as well as a lot of people worried about what this fury could do to him.

However, "Batmanv. Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder has assured in the same Total Film interview that they should not lose sleep over Gotham's guardian taking on a powerful creature like Superman because he has an lead in this battle.

That advantage happens to be "the goodness of Superman, the compliance to fair play that Superman has," the helmer revealed. Snyder says that "Batman knows how to exploit Superman," which means that this battle is not going to be all about physical strength alone.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" flies to the theaters on March 25, 2016.
