"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" has been busy shooting and filming the much awaited sequel to "Man of Steel." However, the Ebola outbreak in Africa became an obstacle to filming there so Warner Bros had to come up with a backup plan — New Mexico.

While the cast and crew were about to go to Africa, they changed their itinerary instead. Deming, New Mexico is now the temporary home for "Batman vs Superman," and it looks like everything is still proceeding on schedule.

According to KOAT, a New Mexico news site, Warner Bros. has been looking for extras in New Mexico since September. The casting notice was looking for families with eight-year old kids and older. The extras would be placed in the African village scene supposed to be shot at Africa. Nonetheless, the deserts of New Mexico can easily be made to look like Morocco.

KOAT remains on top of this news, even going as far as getting the new set of the movie on video. In the news footage, it can be seen that the crew are hard at work in building several structures for the set of the movie, and they are doing it right smack in the middle of the desert.

What exactly are they building? Earlier, it was mentioned that it might be an African village. Other speculations of what the set could be is, it's Wonder Woman's home, the Island of Themyscira, or it could be Aquaman's home, an underwater kingdom.

Well, knowing what the set is for won't take long to unravel. Now that the crew are already building the structures, the A-list cast will be headed to New Mexico by mid-November to start filming, after they're done filming in Chicago, Illinois.

"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg and many more. It will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
