Batman v Superman: Official teaser trailer leaks online

The much awaited Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice teaser trailer was supposed to be officially shown at IMAX theaters on April 20 after director Zach Snyder's announcement via Twitter. The special screening was limited to a first-come first-served basis and which would require fans to sign up at the movie's official website.

However, a leak online showing footage of the said trailer leaked online, low quality but certainly better than Snyder's Twitter post showing the logo insignia/uniforms of the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.

For those who were able to catch it, the trailer shows footage from a devastated Metropolis. The trailer also included a narration by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Holly Hunter as they explain the negative reactions on what Superman brings. Warner Bros. was forced to eventually release the trailer. Check it out below.

In another scene, a statue of Superman was shown but defaced with the words 'false god'.

Fans also got to see how Ben Affleck will portray the caped crusader. Batman carries a low-key toned voice, something many can probably hear when he asks the Man of Steel "Tell me, do you bleed?"

The leak, low quality as it may, does somehow spoil the much anticipated showing of the movie's trailer, something that many had been long awaited for. Warner Bros is certainly not happy about it but one thing going is that fans who bought tickets can look forward to a higher quality reveal come April 20 at IMAX theaters in select theaters in the United States.

With that said, the leak should be neat but seeing it better up and close is still a different story. Fans still want to clearly see what Snyder has come up with and surely the special event which includes an introduction from Snyder is still something to look forward to.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
