'Battleborn' DLC release date: New character, maps and Broadcast tools will be launched on July 28

Gearbox Software/Sony

Gearbox Software, the company behind the game "Battleborn," recently made a number of announcements on the game regarding new DLC characters, maps and other information regarding the new Broadcaster tools.

According to Gamespot, the new character Pendles will be released on July 28 for the people who bought the "Battleborn" season pass beforehand. As for those who did not, he will become available by Aug. 4 by using 47,500 credits. This new character looks like a humanoid snake assassin that wields two kamas.

In the same article, Gearbox described the character as one who enjoys sneaking up on his opponents, making sure that they are poisoned and eviscerated before they could even react. This character is the second out of the five downloadable characters, and the game's next character will be revealed by July 28 as well.

Aside from Pendles, a new set of DLC Competitive Multiplayer maps will be released as well. These include Monuments, Outskirts and Snowblind; these maps can be played for the Incursion, Meltdown, and Capture modes. The "Battleborn" website gives more in-depth descriptions of these maps, each having unique points of interests that will surely challenge players.

Finally, a "Battleborn" announcement will also be made about the Broadcast tools, which will enable players to have new ways of viewing, like the ability to focus on pre-set locations as well as using follow-cams and more. Again, their website provides the full list of the Broadcasting tools for Battleborn in one of their blog posts.

The "Battleborn" July update also featured more head-turning content as its characters decide that it was time to go to the beach. As such, the in-game marketplace now also sells "Summer Fun" skins as well as taunts for players willing to spend.

"Battleborn" is rated 7.1/10 by IGN due to its "fun heroes and leveling" that will keep players occupied despite the lack of more content.
