With the E3 well underway, a lot of the floating rumors about anticipated shooter game "Battlefield 1" have already been dispelled by EA.

According to a Twitter Post from the "Battlefield" official account, the multiplayer version of the game allows players to choose among the available factions, which include the British, the German, the Austro-Hungarian, the Italian, the Ottoman and the Americans.

While this represents a fairly accurate representation of the forces involved in the First World War, it's interesting how "Battlefield 1" omits the Russians and the French from the line up. After all, these forces had heavy casualties in this war, and these countries also played key roles in shaping this horrific historical event. As such, rumors of DLC involving these two factions are certainly logical.

As with any "Battlefield" game, players are given the options for soldier class with slight differences. Some secondary classes such as medic and support class are given along with the assault class and the tank and pilot class. There are still not definitive details of the mechanics behind each class, but according to Alphr, EA should make all the other classes interesting and viable enough to ensure diversity. This is due to the fact that in the past "Battlefield" games, about 90 percent of the players always pick the Assault class, according to the same article.

"Battlefield 1," as already stated by EA, will have both the original Conquest and Domination game modes. These are basically altered versions of capture-the-flag game mode, with the former essentially a large-scale fight utilizing vehicles and the latter more of an infantry-based skirmish amongst players. But in any case, the all-new Operations mode is essentially about two forces going head to head for key checkpoints, similar to the one found in "Star Wars: Battlefront."
