Battlefield Hardline First Expansion DLC release date: Features maps, vehicles and weapons

The first DLC pack for Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity may be coming out soon and rumors have revealed that the expansion pack will come fully loaded.

Among the things to expect include new multiplayer maps, vehicles, weapons and more.

Through a podcast, producer Zach Mumbach shared that the DLC packs included 4 maps, 2 of them set at night. The maps will be set in California and Florida with each varying in size and offer a bit more destructibility compared to existing maps. The good news is that the said maps will come with better visual cues which should aid gamers on which are destructible and which are not.

Aside from the maps, there are the vehicles to look forward to. Sadly, planes are not on included. This apparently has something to do with the map designs, something Mumback termed as made to be close-quarters and hence to keep the fiction on track.

For the Premium players, the members will be able to play Criminal Activity ahead of everybody else. However it seems that players can look forward to a bonus at launch, something that comes in the form of a free gun.

Though it seems that premium members will enjoy the perks in advance, Mumbach did mention that Visceral could allow non-Premium members to try out the DLC as well before deciding to buy one.

That of course is only a possibility so before non-Premium members jump for joy, Mumback explains that some technical and policies may have to be ironed out before they make that possibility a reality for the gamers.

Speaking of the retail side, there is no official word yet on how much the Hardline expansion would cost. But if previous pricing is to be considered, the price range could likely play somewhere in the vicinity of $15.
