Patch 1.02 is now live for "Battlefield: Hardline" players.

One of the biggest updates since the game's release, patch 1.02 brings much-needed improvements and gameplay fixes. According to the patch notes by developer Visceral, the biggest enhancements that the update brings centers on weapon balance, in-game modes, and tweaking performance issues.

For the game's arsenal of different weapons, the patch brings big changes to tune the systems and make it as realistic as possible. The K10, for example, is now more balanced with a 33 start damage and eight end damage. Meanwhile, the crowd favourite FMG9 now has an increased 25 damage, while the AKM's minimum damage has been decreased to 24. Also, the Battle Rifle ammo's minimum damage has been increased to 25.

Apart from weapon improvements, the new update also brings about gameplay changes to the different modes in the game. It improves the Team Death Match mode so that players now spawn much closer to their friendly teams. It also fixes the issue about the Hollywood Heights multiplayer map for the Hotwire game mode.

The patch fixes server and crash issues. It also makes customization settings for game modes available again, and it adds Rent-a-Server functionality for improved online game performance.

Battle packs are also enhanced for the "Battlefield" title. For Bronze packs, the last slot drop chances are improved to include collectibles and vouchers other than boosts. Silver packs are now expanded to include a bronze pack-like item spawn for the first three slots.

Lastly, the update makes in-game gold packs available as four silver pack-like slots, and the chances for superior or distinguished items spawning for the last slot are much improved. The Prima Guide's Gold Battlepack has been added as a selection for players.

"Battlefield: Hardline" was released on March 17 and is available for current-gen consoles and PC.
