'Battlefield: Hardline' DLC news: 'Robbery' DLC announced

Although the game itself has been released some time ago, Electronic Arts and developer Visceral Games continues to support "Battlefield: Hardline" with regular updates and expansions. Fresh from its first DLC release, EA has announced that a new expansion will roll out for the first-person shooter title.

Dubbed as the "Robbery" DLC, the expansion immediately follows the first pack, "Criminal Activity." The second expansion is about heist missions with big rewards.

According to the post on the Battlefield website, both opposing teams will have a chance to reap big rewards in the DLC.

"The theme of this pack is the Big Score: how to steal it, or how to stop it. The new maps and game mode in Battlefield Hardline: Robbery are designed to let criminal teams plan and execute the perfect heist; or, for law enforcement, to get the crooks in cuffs before they can pull it off."

One of the noted add-ons for the new DLC is the addition of the new Squad Heist mode. The new gameplay takes its cue from the Squad Rush mode in "Battlefield 4." However, instead of a straight-up engagement, the gang will have to complete looting two vaults and try to escape to safety. Meanwhile, the law enforcement group tries to foil the opposing team's robbery and escape missions.

Aside from the new gameplay mode, the new "Robbery" DLC will also add four maps to the mix – Precinct 7, Break Pointe, Museum, and The Docks. There will also be four new weapons and two new gadgets to choose from, plus two factional vehicles for the teams. There will also be a number of new vehicle upgrades, as well as other items such as camo and vehicle paints. In addition, the Legendary Super Feature will also be unlocked.

The "Robbery" DLC for "Battlefield Hardline" will be available for early access next month.
