Another character for the live adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast" could be filled up soon if negotiations with Luke Evans end up on a positive note.

Disney is currently in talks with the actor to take on the role of Gaston, Belle's supposed admirer and the Beast's adversary. And seeing that Evans has had experience performing in musical theater, the handsome actor should be perfect to play Gaston.

If Evans should agree, that would make three main characters that would be filled up for the "Beauty and the Beast" live adaption. Emma Watson was the first to be confirmed as she will play the part of Beauty. She also hinted that she would be doing some singing in the film thus making Evan's a plausible choice since the Gaston we know of does some singing in the animated flick too.

As far as the Beast is concerned, it won't be Ryan Gosling as earlier rumored. Instead it will be Dan Stevens who will be taking on the role.

Evans' entry was timely considering he just recently pulled out of a reboot of The Crow.

The live rendition of the 1991 Walt Disney hit will be handled by Bill Condon. Condon is an Oscar-winning writer/director who was behind other movies like "Dream Girls" and upcoming film "Mr. Holmes."

Production for "Beauty and the Beast" is expected to being any time this year although an official release date or target has yet to be announced.
