After the long wait, "Beauty and the Beast" fans finally saw Cat (Kristen Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) getting married in the season 3 finale of The CW show this week. The two tied the knot on the rooftop of Cat's apartment building, the place where the couple's love story began during the series premiere. But before they got to say "I do" to each other, they had to deal with Liam (Jason Gedrick) once and for all.

Apart from the much-awaited nuptials, the couple also had to disclose that Vincent is a beast. In the episode titled "Til Death Do Us Apart," Liam had J.T. arrested, and he tricked Vincent right into the DHS trap, which got him arrested as well. Then Liam told the DHS about all of the people that Vincent killed during the past seasons, which left Cat and Vincent with no choice but to tell Agent Russo about Vincent being a beast. In the end, Liam was killed by Vincent, so when the show returns for its fourth season, he won't be around to cause the newlyweds grief.

With Liam gone, how will things play out in season 4? Rickey.org speculates that the new season will have a bigger and more ominous villain than Liam. While the series could have chosen to keep the character around, his survival would have meant that Cat and Vincent would not be able to take the next step in their relationship.

As for Cat and Vincent, it is expected that season 4 will show them adjusting to married life, which is sure to have some light moments amid all the action and drama. As for the show itself, "Beauty and the Beast" was renewed for a fourth season months before season 3 premiered on The CW, and it is expected that the show will be back with a 13-episode run next year. With regard to the premiere date, Cartermatt speculates that the new season will premiere in June 2016.
