Ben Affleck's tribute to Robin Williams: 'He made Matt and my dreams come true'
Tributes continue to pour in for the late Robin Williams, who hanged himself on Monday morning, following months of deep depression.
Ben Affleck, who starred with Robin Williams in "Good Will Hunting," which earned both actors an Oscar, wrote a touching tribute to Williams.
"Heartbroken. Thanks chief – for your friendship and for what you gave the world. Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made Matt and my dreams come true," he posted on Facebook.
"What do you owe a guy who does that? Everything. May you find peace my friend. #Robin Williams."
Fans flocked to the "Good Will Hunting" bench in Boston and made a makeshift memorial for the actor as news of his death shocked the world.
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon co-wrote the screenplay for the highly successful film.
More details surrounding the death of the legendary actor were released during a press conference this afternoon. The Mairn Country Deputy Coroner revealed that Williams had tried slashing his left wrist before hanging himself. He was found with a belt tied around his neck, which was secured between the closet door and door frame. No suicide note was found.
