Ben and Jessa Seewald dote on their first son Spurgeon Elliot, and love sharing photos of him on their social media accounts.

Just recently, Jessa shared on her Instagram account (@jessaseewald) a photo of their son wearing striped overalls, and she revealed that the outfit came from her elder sister Jill's toddler, Israel David Dillard.

"We're loving all the cute hand-me-down outfits from Israel! Little overalls are so adorable on baby boys!" Jessa writes.

The Duggar family is big on thrift shopping and wearing second-hand clothes, and this is probably where Jessa learned how to appreciate being frugal.

Her mom Michelle Duggar earlier revealed that the family rarely buys anything new for their household items. "Of course, we will buy packages of undies and socks that are new at discount stores. We buy the big family pack where you get a better price. That's a great way to save money. But those would be the only items that we buy new on a regular basis," she said.

"For the most part though, everything else is used. We'll shop in thrift stores, pawn shops, furniture auctions and yard sales. We try to get bargains on everything. We even buy our cars used because there is such a high depreciation on them. The same goes with furniture. You can get really nice things that are like brand new because somebody's moving away or doesn't need them anymore," she added.

She and her husband Jim Bob have taught their children the value of patience when it comes to shopping. Whenever their kids want something, they will wait until it goes on sale, or until they find something similar at a thrift store.

"I always tell them they're going to get more for their money if they buy things used," Michelle explained. "They work hard for their money, so they don't really want to spend full price when they know they could get probably get several things for the price of one. It's just a matter of being patient and shopping around."
