'Better Call Saul' season 2 to bring back 'Breaking Bad' character

"Better Call Saul" season 2 will premiere on Feb. 15.AMC

"Better Call Saul" season 2 will continue showcasing Jimmy McGill aka Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) and his journey down the criminal path before he became the notorious criminal in "Breaking Bad." While Walter White (Bryan Cranston) will not be appearing in season 2, it has been confirmed that someone from "Breaking Bad" will.

In an interview with TV Insider, series creator Vince Gilligan confirmed the information although he did not reveal the identity of the character.

"We revisit a character we met early in Season 1 of 'Breaking Bad' and haven't seen since," Gilligan stated. "It's going to be a fun tip of the hat."

This immediately crosses out Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) since he did appear in "Better Call Saul" season 1.

According to a report from Cinema Blend, it is possible that Gilligan is referring to Domingo Molina a.k.a. Krazy-8 (Max Arciniega).

Back in "Breaking Bad" season 1, Krazy-8 was working with his cousin Emilio (John Koyama) and Walter's partner Jesse (Aaron Paul). When Jesse worked with Walter to make a refined, more expensive drug, Krazy-8 and Emilio tried to kidnap the two and forced them to surrender the recipe.

Emilio died immediately and Krazy-8 was kept in captivity until Walter was forced to kill him, essentially his first moment to "break bad" and begin his path down a criminal life.

Cinema Blend also says that this makes Krazy-8 the most likely candidate to show up in "Better Call Saul." The character is from season 1 and he never does appear again. Another factor is that Krazy-8's cameo might showcase how he and Emilio began manufacturing and selling drugs, which would in turn lead to them meeting Jesse.

However, there are still many other characters from season 1 of "Breaking Bad" that might make it into "Better Call Saul." Therefore, at this point, Krazy-8's cameo should still be treated as speculation until Gilligan confirms the identity of the character.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 will premiere on Feb. 15.
