After Bob Odenkirk seemed to confirm the appearance of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) during his guesting at Conan O'Brien's show, speculations began to appear about how one of the biggest villains in "Breaking Bad" will be introduced in the spin-off.

Fring's return was first discovered by the eagle-eyed fans of the critically acclaimed series who put together all the first letters of the episode titles in season 2. It reads, "FRINGS BACK." While series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould acknowledged that they might have planted a clue for season 3 in the episode titles, it does not mean that Fring will really appear in the upcoming season.

Gould said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in April that he will be disappointed if the fans of both the "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" series to expect to see Fring immediately when the spin-off resumes for season 3, since Fring is the type of guy who "somebody who is not easy to access."

However, Odenkirk might have dropped a different response about Fring's involvement in the show based on the interview.

"And so I guess, I don't know because I really truly don't know what is going to happen in the show, that maybe this season we will see Giancarlo Esposito in the great role again. It would be amazing," the actor who portrays the role of the lead character Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman said.

In a separate interview with TheWrap, Odenkirk hinted that the much-awaited transformation of the amateur lawyer Jimmy McGill into the sly, conniving legal expert Saul Goodman will finally happen in season 3. "We learn that Saul is just who he's pretending to be to get back at the world...Season 3 is when things will really explode," the actor stated.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to be released by AMC sometime in 2017.
