The boys of "The Big Bang Theory" have come a long way since its premiere. This week, fans expect to witness Sheldon Cooper's wedding with his long-time girlfriend Amy Fowler. This is an iconic moment for the series, especially considering Cooper's very antisocial tendencies.

Cooper (played by Jim Parsons) and Fowler (played by Mayim Bialik) may just be the ultimate science nerds of the show. However, when it comes to weddings, it seems that they are both clueless with the planning, just like any other couple. However, one of the easiest decisions made for the wedding was deciding who the Best Man and Maid of Honor will be.

It is no surprise that Leonard Hofstadter (played by Johnny Galecki) and Penny Hofstader (played by Kaley Cuoco) were chosen as Best Man and Maid of Honor, respectively. However, some fans had an issue with Fowler's choice, seeing as Penny was seemingly chosen only because she is the defacto partner for Leonard. However, her actual best friend Bernadette Rostenkowski (played by Melissa Rauch), who was her friend for a long time, was left hanging. Rostenkowski even campaigned to be Fowler's Maid of Honor, but to no avail.

Some fans even go as far as to say that there should be two Maids of Honor —both Penny and Rostenkowski.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episodes do not just revolve on Cooper and Fowler. There will also be screen time for Raj Koothrappali (played by Kunal Nayyar), who will find out in the episode that the woman she is dating is already married. He will witness family drama as the woman's husband finds out that she was dating another guy.

"The Big Bang Theory" airs every Tuesday at 8-8:30 p.m Eastern Time / Pacific Time on CBS. It also airs in Australia Channel Nine, after "The Block."
