Phone developer BlackBerry has recently released their latest Android flagship smartphone — the DTEK60 — and it is now available in the U.S. market for $499 USD.

BlackBerry's new DTEK60 smartphone features a sleek design that is perfect for users who are looking for sophisticated looking phones. It is equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad high definition display and comes out of the box running on Android's 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The BlackBerry device also packs a punch with its 4 GB of RAM powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Users will also be able to put in a decent amount of apps and files in the device since it has 32 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 2 TB via MicroSD card.

The DTEK60 also comes out of the box with a 21-megapixel rear shooter coupled with an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. Users can also expect decent usage time due to the phone's 3000mAH capacity battery.

One feature that BlackBerry is very proud of when it comes to the DTEK60 is its enhanced security measures that are said to make it a more secure business phone as opposed to competitor Android devices.

"Our manufacturing process makes use of a unique technique known as the Hardware Root of Trust," BlackBerry said. The Hardware Root of Trust prevents the DTEK60 from being counterfeited becauses of the security keys integrated with its chipset, therefore ensuring that the device cannot be tampered by hackers trying to root the device, making it an effective security measure for protecting business data.

What's more is that BlackBerry protects all data within the DTEK60 with FIPS 140-2 encryption to make it more difficult for hackers to access.

Other features of the BlackBerry DTEK60 include a fingerprint sensor and a sturdier body. The device is also compatible with several GSM networks including AT&T and T-Mobile.
