Season 10 of "Bones" saw Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and her husband Booth (David Boreanaz) leaving the Jeffersonian in order to pursue less dangerous careers and to be able to take care of their new son. However, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly, they will be coming back in season 11 and Brennan will learn who took her place.

Showrunner Michael Peterson revealed that the Jeffersonian staff has not yet found a permanent replacement for Brennan. After all, none of the elected candidates presented to Brennan got her approval.

"Arastoo is the main intern who has taken over," explained Michael Peterson, who will be the series' new showrunner starting this season. "He's really filled in for Brennan in her absence. Eventually Brennan will come back, but what that means for Cam and Arastoo is very interesting."

Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) is an intern and also Cam's (Tamara Taylor) boyfriend. The sudden shift in career focus might become something detrimental to their relationship or it might seem as a type of favoritism that may draw negative reactions from the rest of the Jeffersonian team.

It will also be interesting to see how Arastoo's inexperience will affect Brennan and the Jeffersonian team's hunt for Booth. It is heavily implied that Brennan will return to work or even resume her job as the leader of the Jeffersonian team and Arastoo's placement to fill her shoes might work toward or against this end goal.

No matter how well Arastoo does in Brennan's seat, the FBI themselves will be sending in an agent to help find one of their own. As stated in the official synopsis, Booth will be missing in the first few episodes and guest star Kim Raver will portray FBI special agent Grace Miller to help them find him.

"Bones" season 11 will premiere this Oct. 1 and will have a special cross-over episode with "Sleepy Hollow" on the Thursday prior to All Hallows' Eve, reports TVLine
