Jake (Andy Samberg) will exert a lot of efforts to impress Amy's (Melissa Fumero) father in the next episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4.

As per the synopsis of the episode titled "Mr. Santiago," Amy will come up with a very intricate Thanksgiving dinner plan where she can introduce Jake to her father, portrayed by guest star Jimmy Smits.

But Jake will try to go the extra mile to impress Amy's father, who also happens to be a cop. But could the elder Santiago appreciate Jake's efforts?

Meanwhile, the synopsis also reveals that as Jake and Amy prepare for their Thanksgiving dinner, Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) will be left to do the turkey duty. On the other hand, Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) will help Adrian Pimento (Jason Mantzoukas) deal with the reality that he could no longer work for the NYPD.

Adrian worked as an undercover for Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis, which made him suffer from a lot of psychological issues. This could be the reason why Adrian could no longer work for the NYPD. This means that he needs the support of the precinct's Commanding Officer so that he can start to accept his new situation.

The synopsis of the upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 reads: "At Amy's intricately planned Thanksgiving dinner, Jake goes "full Santiago" (binder and all) in order to impress her father (guest star Jimmy Smits), a former cop. With Jake and Amy's focus elsewhere, Charles is left on turkey duty and Holt helps Pimento cope after learning he can no longer work for the NYPD."

In the previous episode, Adrian and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) almost got married one day after they announced their engagement at the precinct. Jake and Amy were supposed to help the couple with their wedding preparations, but both Adrian and Rosa realized that they still have a lot of things to consider before they can begin their new lives together. This made the couple decide to hold off the wedding for a while so that they can get to know each other better.

The next episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 will air on Tuesday, Nov. 22, on FOX.
