The first official multiplayer beta for Activision's upcoming military first person shooter video game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" was just held over the weekend and it revealed several new maps and modes to the game.

The beta showcased a brand new map called "Precinct" and the return of the "Kill Confirmed" mode, which is similar to the "Tag or It Didn't Happen" mode found in previous games.

Several users had already uploaded their gameplay videos online which shows the look and feel of the brand new "Precinct" map. The map itself is set in a Japanese city district following the aftermath of the Settle Defense Front invasion. The medium-sized map contains several alleys and open streets that are prime for close quarter combat and sudden ambush attacks.

Other maps that were made available during the beta includes two futuristic locations and a 1950's-themed map called "Throwback." The two futuristic locations includes "Frontier," which is set on space station near Neptune, and "Frost," which is a research facility in one of Jupiter's moons.

The "Kill Confirmed" multiplayer mode is a "Call of Duty" staple that was originally added in "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3." It is basically a Team Deathmatch battle where teams will be competing for the total number of kills during a set amount of time. Each kill, however, can only be confirmed by picking up the dog tags that are dropped after each successful kill.

Other modes that were also playable in the game's beta includes the basic Team Deathmatch mode, a Domination mode, and a Defender mode. The Defender mode is unique in that the VIP that players will be set to defend will be a drone.

Another beta test will be held over the next weekend from Oct. 21 to 24 and will be open to PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One players.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is scheduled to be released on Nov. 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for Windows PC.
