"Fuller House" star Candace Cameron Bure expressed her love and prayers for the victims of the recent high school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas that killed 10, and the actress took the chance to explain why she thinks there is still value in doing this despite other people saying that prayer is not a concrete action.

Bure, an outspoken Christian, was speaking in a Billy Hallowell podcast interview when the topic of prayers during tragedy came up. The actress said that it bothers her when people mock those who offer a prayer for the victims.

The mom-of-three believes that actions and solutions begin with a prayer and those who say otherwise might not have witnessed its power.

"If you don't start with [prayer] there's no power behind it, because God's the power," Bure said."God can do anything, change anything — change hearts. It's the heart of all of us that need to be changed and that's where God needs to get in."

When tragedy struck Las Vegas in 2017, where 58 people were killed, Bure also posted her sympathies online and explained the power of prayer. She quoted John 16:33 from the Bible to offer strength for those in mourning and said that God had long won over evil.

"The evils we endure in this world are indeed painful...but they are temporary," the actress said. "I rejoice because God hears our prayers and holds us all tightly in His grip,"

Meanwhile, Bure has been making it her mission to bring kindness back to the norm. She recently released a book, "Kind is the New Classy: The Power of Living Graciously," that details how kindness can change a community.

Bure stated that kindness starts with every person who chooses to be positive and show respect for other people. For her, kindness is not weakness as it also helps her remain calm, grounded and centered amid the struggles and the noise around her.
