Daniel Bruhl's role in the third installment of the upcoming Captain America installment has finally been revealed months after his participation in the movie had been announced by Marvel Studios.

According to a casting call posted by Movie Casting, the 36-years-old Spanish-German actor who was known for portraying the role of Frederik Zoller in the critically-acclaimed film Inglorious Basterds will be playing the role of Baron Zemo.

According to an article from the Den of Geek, Bruhl's portrayal of Baron Heinrich Zemo will bring the comic book's Nazi scientist to life. Heinrich Zemo managed to survive World War 2, and he developed a groundbreaking adhesive device called Adhesive X that can be dangerous when used with the Allied troops. Captain America reportedly confronts him about it and asks him to eradicate all his supply.

Yet on other reports, Bruhl's role will allegedly be Heinrich's son Helmut Zemo. Compared to his father, Helmut was a German engineer who planned to follow his father's footsteps to take revenge against Captain America and continue Heinrich's dream to take over the world to make it ideal for the alleged master race.

However, Marvel neither confirmed nor denied the role that Bruhl will portray in the upcoming Captain America sequel.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. talked about how Marvel managed to persuade him to add another film in his current contract as Iron Man/Tony Stark during a recent interview with Empire magazine.

"They said to me, 'If we have you, we can do this, or Cap 3 has to be something else. It's nice to feel needed. And at this point it's about helping each other, too. I look at it as a competition and I go, 'Wow, maybe if these two franchises teamed up and I can take even a lesser position, with people I like and directors I respect, maybe we can keep things bumping along."

'Captain America: Civil War,' starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, is scheduled to open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
