Marisa Tomei was rumored back in July to portray the role of Peter Parker's beloved Aunt May in the future "Spider-Man" movies, but no confirmation has been reported. However, recent developments in the production of Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" seem to confirm the news.

Heroic Hollywood revealed that Tomei's first stint as Aunt May of Tom Holland's Peter Parker/ Spider-Man will be in the third installment of the "Captain America" film franchise. According to the report, the actress secretly filmed her scenes for the film just before production wrapped up.

A report from an Atlanta news agency revealed that an Atlanta furniture shop rented out the furniture set for Peter Parker's bedroom. It could be safe to assume that Aunt May appears in that room in the movie.

Tomei will take over the role of Peter Parker's adoptive parent from Sally Field, who appeared during Andrew Garfield's stint in the "Spider-Man" franchise.

Meanwhile, the rest of the cast reportedly celebrated the end of production of "Captain America: Civil War" in Germany over the weekend. A bar in Leipzig, Germany called Imperii posted a photo of the cast and crew of Marvel's upcoming film while partying to cap off the end of the production.

The actors who were at the party include the film's lead star Chris Evans, who portrays the role of Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, and Anthony Mackie as Falcon.

Marvel's co-president Louis D'Esposito also confirmed in his Twitter account that "Captain America: Civil War" already ended filming the major scenes early Saturday.

Other members of the cast include Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as the Ant-Man, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Paul Bettany as Vision.

"Captain America: Civil War" is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and it is slated to premiere on May 6, 2016.
