Reminiscing o past Nintendo games is much more fun this year as "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker," a title previously released on the Wii U, is set for a release on the Nintendo Switch and the 3DS this coming July.

Among the many port announcements during the Nintendo Direct event, "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" incurred a lot of excitement in the fans department as the game was received relatively well during its first-ever launch.

According to the announcement, the game will be up for release on July 13. Fans will be getting a lot in this new port as Nintendo revealed that they will be incorporating new levels and mechanics in order to give the game a fresher perspective for people who have played the game before.

These new levels will be based primarily on the "Super Mario Odyssey," which will come in the form of miniature courses that got their inspiration from numerous kingdoms. On top of this, developers have imbued the port title with a new feature — multiplayer mode. This new mode will enable players to explore and do tasks in-game with a companion.

"While one player controls Captain Toad, the other can assist with things like turnip cover fire," officials explained during the Nintendo Direct presentation.

Gameplay-wise, "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" will still be the same game that fans loved back when it released in 2014. Players will again be tasked to help the protagonist, who cannot jump, accomplish the various stages by way of rotating the map.

Graphic-wise, the 3DS port of the game will, obviously, support 3D visuals and touchscreen controls. Meanwhile, when it comes to the Switch, graphics will pretty much be the same albeit enhanced and controls are made available through the Joystick.

"Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" will be officially released on the 3DS and the Switch platforms on July 13. In terms of price, no details have been revealed though it's more than likely to drop the same time as the ports does.
