Care for the Family appoints new chief executive

|PIC1|National family charity Care for the Family has appointed Mark Molden as its new chief executive.

Mr Molden's appointment comes as Jonathan Booth announces he is retiring from his role as CEO, having worked for the charity for 20 years.

Mr Molden has been with Care for the Family since January 2007 as Chief Operating Officer and UK Director.

He has had extensive experience working in the private and charity sectors, as well as in local government. He brings a wealth of understanding of all these areas as he continues to lead the many strategic initiatives of the charity.

Rob Parsons, Executive Chairman of Care for the Family, said he was delighted that Mr Molden had accepted the post.

"We're very pleased to have Mark in this new role," he said. "Since he joined Care for the Family nearly two years ago he has shown tremendous leadership skills and has brought both experience and ability to enable Care for the Family to develop new ways to support families."

Mr Molden has taken up the post with immediate effect.

He said, "I am honoured and privileged to be appointed. I have seen the tremendous impact that Care for the Family is making in helping families across the UK. I am very much looking forward to extending this work over the coming years to ensure that hundreds of thousands of people will benefit."
